3G DVB-H Handset Developed by ZTE, Siano to Be Launched in Italy

Chinese mobile phone maker ZTE and Israeli chip maker Siano announced that they have jointly developed a 3G DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld) mobile phone based on Siano's multi-standard receiver chipset. This is ZTE's first product of this kind. The mobile phone, called Brionvega, also codenamed N7100, supports several technology standards, including DVB-H, DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting ?Terrestrial), DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), DAB-IP (Digital Audio Broadcasting - Internet Protocol), and T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting). The phone is expected to be sold by Telecom Italia Mobile soon in Italy. Furthermore, this phone also includes several other features, such as a 320x240 pixel color screen, a 2MP camera module, and a 3.6Mbps HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) modem.
